Shannon Rowland is a Los Angeles based photographer who focuses on portraiture and abstract landscapes. Themes expressed in her work are identity, intrigue, isolation and self reflection. She finds inspiration in non traditional places using a juxtaposition of elements. The resulting images have a raw, almost painterly quality that embrace the dichotomy of the world around us at any given time. Shannon is the resident photography curator for Bleicher Gallery La Brea and Bleicher/Golightly Gallery Santa Monica.
